I love me some trailers! I am not sure if I am totally down to see this movie or not - though I will admit now that I will I am just not so sure that the magic that once was the chemistry between Mulder and Scully can be rekindled in this sequel that just might be 10 years too late.
Mulder and Scully are back in the thrilling novelization of the summer 2008 blockbuster movie based on the classic X-Files TV show! When a group of women are abducted in the wintry hills of rural Virginia, the only clues to their disappearance are the grotesque human remains that begin to turn up in snow banks along the highway. With officials desperate for any lead, a disgraced priest’s questionable “visions” send local police on a wild goose chase and straight to a bizarre secret medical experiment that may or may not be connected to the women’s disappearance. It’s a case right out of The X-Files. But the FBI closed down its investigations into the paranormal years ago. And the best team for the job is ex-agents Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully, who have no desire to revisit their dark past. Still, the truth of these horrific crimes is out there somewhere…and it will take Mulder and Scully to find it!
Oh and its awesome to see rapper Xzibit do something other than one of those Pimp My Ride shows.
“Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala are on the front lines of an intergalactic struggle between good and evil, along with brand-new heroes like Anakin’s Padawan Ahsoka. Sinister villains, led by Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous, are poised to rule the galaxy. Stakes are high, and the fate of the Star Wars universe rests in the hands of the daring Jedi Knights. Their exploits lead to action-packed battles and astonishing new revelations.”
Good Two Shoes, written by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, comedic duo who brought you Meet the Spartans, Date Movie and Epic Movie, are coming back at you with yet another comedy spoof film. This time it looks like Juno and Superbad are going to get be attacked by the parody juggernauts. And who do we see here on set, Kim Kardashian!
Her role may only be a cameo but does this girl have something more than a mere catch phrase or a best selling adult flick? We will just have to wait and see. Till then, lets look at some more yummie photos of Ms. Kim.
Today’s Part 1 of the WTF series (I was a lame yesterday so I owe you) is brought to you by MySpace and Neil Diamond.
Guess who’s MySpace Secret Artist is tonight performing a free show at New York City’s The Bitter End tonight? Effing Neil Diamond. WTF – is this the ‘60s? I would give it a chance if it was the ‘70s. I mean, what hip indie scenester kid do you know bumps Neil Diamond songs in their vintage 1980’s Volvo?
I now you all are humming Sweet Caroline right now but, seriously MySpace – there wasn’t even a MySpace when the Diamond was super popular. Just because American Idol thought to play his catalog for the show doesn’t mean they are keeping up with the times. It just means that they have been on the air for so long that they were running out of artists that do have a complete catalog of hits. Stupid.
Some photo’s of Lindsay Lohan’s guest spot on the season finale of Ugly Betty has made the net. As much as I can talk some S about Lohan at least she looks like she is having fun and she doesn’t look like she’s is going to give hepatitis to everyone on set. She should really do more roles like this if she wants to salvage her career.
Lindsay’s character also reportedly works in the fast food industry. The 21-year-old singer/actress will also reprise her role next season in five additional episodes.
Everyone’s favorite little actress with the quick wit, Ellen Page, will be playing one of the most famous characters in literary history Charlotte Bronte’s heroine, Jane Eyre.
If by any chance you managed to escaped reading this classic in school - the story’s plot line:
Jane Eyre, orphaned, is left to live under the charity of her Aunt Reed. After living ten years of mistreatment and segregation in her Aunt’s home, she is then sent to a boarding school for young girls. At eighteen she becomes at teacher and takes residence as a governess at Thornfield. It is at Thornfield, Jane falls in love with the master, Mr Rochester. However, Mr Rochester is a man of great mystery and he yields a terrible and dark secret that threatens to tear them apart for good.
It is being produced by the BBC so I know they will be taking this production seriously but, I think most of Page’s movie roles kind of all follow the same character. It would be amazing to see the modern Jane Eyre much like Page’s role in Hard Candy. Her diligently trying to break the spirit of Mr Rochester. Good times.
I know tons of you are excited for this new George Lucas endeavorer but, I don’t know. I saw the series on Cartoon Network and I saw the movies for that matter. This is someone trying to make money on the limitless media that is animation and he picked something he knows will sell. Another Indiana Jones movie and an animated Star Wars flick - I think George Lucas is set for the next decade.
According to the official plot synopsis:
“Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala are on the front lines of an intergalactic struggle between good and evil, along with brand-new heroes like Anakin’s Padawan Ahsoka. Sinister villains, led by Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous, are poised to rule the galaxy. Stakes are high, and the fate of the Star Wars universe rests in the hands of the daring Jedi Knights. Their exploits lead to action-packed battles and astonishing new revelations.”
Deja vu or have we seen this?
You can catch the official trailer tagged in front of this weekend’s release of Speed Racer.
The latest clip of The Strangers has hit the internet! I have such high hopes for this movie. I love horror movies but it looks like every time you turn around you see some terrible remake of once was a classic flick - I’m not just aiming at you Rob Zombie.
